The Best Marinated Grilled Chicken!

Today, I wanted to share a recipe with you. The recipe is one I first discovered on *'How Jen Does It.' Jen uses this chicken in conjunction with Penne pasta to make Grilled Chicken and Penne Pasta. The original recipe is very good! Every time I make it, my husband absolutely loves it. If I ask him for a meal suggestion he always says the Grilled Chicken and Penne Pasta!

Since he likes it so much, I decided to use this marinade recipe in other dishes I cook. I've used it in many different chicken recipes including a grilled chicken sandwich!

Grilled Marinated Chicken

4 boneless skinless Chicken Breasts
½ Lemon Juiced
3-4 tbsp Olive Oil  (depending on size of Chicken breasts)
1-2 tsp Garlic Powder
½-1 tsp Basil
½-1 tsp Oregano
½-1 tsp Salt

½ tsp Fresh Ground Pepper

Place the chicken in a flat bowl or baking pan whichever is best for you to marinate the chicken in. You could even use a plastic freezer or stage bag for this step. Poke Chicken with a fork so it marinates better. Add all 7 other ingredients to the chicken. Once all have been added mix well with the chicken.
Place your chicken in the refrigerator and let it marinate, in the refrigerator, for 4-5 hours or longer.

Before you are ready to grill, remove chicken from the refrigerator and let sit for about 10-15 minutes. Once your grill has heated up, place the chicken on the grill.

The chicken is very juicy!

(Note here: you can use any grill you would like including a George Foreman Grill. It tastes great either way.)
I used our George Foreman grill this time!

Grill Chicken until no longer pink. Once done let the chicken sit for a couple of minutes before cutting.
I love the way this Chicken tastes. It is so juicy and easy to make!

The chicken is amazing and wont take you all day to prepare. It comes out amazingly and my husband said it's better than restaurant quality! I hope you give this recipe a try because I'm sure you and your family will love it!

I have only tried this recipe on chicken breasts, but I'm sure it would be great on any kind of chicken, pork chops and maybe even a nice Steak!

I'm now on twitter. Come say hello and follow here

*This recipe was adapted from 'How Jen Does it' on YouTube. You can view her channel here and the video where I saw the original recipe here. I did make changes to the recipe base don my tastes and my family's. There was no printable or recipe wrote out on her page. I wrote this recipe myself based off of her original recipe.

Pin this recipe for later!!

  1. This looks delicious, I love the combination of lemon juice and oregano. Looks like a Greek chicken that would go great in a pita. Thanks for sharing with Small Victories Sunday Linkup. Pinning to our linkup board and hope you found some great posts to visit this week!
